At the Copa Slot Game by Betsoft

The game ‘At The Copa’ has a salsa flavor from the music to the 3D effects and animation. I found myself standing up from time to time and doing a little meringue and salsa dance step. The 30 pay line reel has a bamboo background with the lights from an outdoor bar near the ocean. There are three characters including a lady in a red dress, Rico with a ponytail and Pedro who is dressed in black. The lady is on the right side of the reel and dances throughout play. The icons all have specific animation with vivid colors.

The lady in red icon pays the most with 2,500 credits for five of them. Both Rico and Pedro icons are worth 1,500 credits each. The other game icons consist of a horn, flamingo, red shakers, drums, and a drink with an umbrella. The range of credits for these starts with 500 credits and ends at 125 credits. There is a wild scatter icon of the ocean and with three you earn a free spins. This is a sticky reel feature that also has a two or three time multiplier.

There are three progressive jackpots. The categories include Suave, Mediane, and Caliente. The progressive balances range from a little over one hundred credits to almost five hundred for the Caliente jackpot. However, they changed throughout play and even decreased. You have to play the max bet mode to trigger the progressive jackpot along with three red chili peppers.

A bonus dance round gives you free spins and have up to a ten time multiplier. You need to land Rico and Pedro on either side of the lady in red to activate it. There is a free spins feature that has a multiplier also. You need to land three of the dancing feet icons on the first, third and fifth reel to trigger it. I won this option one time. This game has the double-up feature that can be played every time you win during regular play. For this feature, the game has Pedro standing at the bar drinking. You have to pick heads or tails before he will flip a coin to reveal the winning side. I played this a lot, but only won it a couple of times.

At one point, I used the auto play. I set it for all 30 pay lines at two cents. After that, I got up and danced to the music. During the game, each man would come out and dance with the lady before disappearing again. The biggest bonus that I won was for 3,125 credits after I set the game to auto play. While I like everything about the game, it took over an hour to win the bonus round. I almost stopped before this happened. However, I did win almost 7,000 credits. I only got the wild icon one time during play.

This is a fun game because of the theme, but it needs to have more wins, or there is no real point in playing. The characters and animation keep you hooked, but that really is not enough. I will come back another time to play. But, if I have this same experience, I will have to cross it off my list.
